Avon River Activities 

Abbey Park - Evesham  

ARA have been working hard for years now to 'bring boating back to Evesham' 

Dragon Pedalos &  Boats, boards, katakanus for hire as well as paddleboard lessons

and BOAT TRIPS too

Evesham is the perfect place to come and get on the river

 

                 open weekends (Starting Sat 16th May 2026)  12-4pm May - September (weather permitting)

in August - Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun 11am - 4pm (weather permitting)

Dragon Pedalo = £6 per person for 20 mins 

Most popular

min 2 people, 1 must be over 18 years old / parent or guardian.

Dragon Pedalos have 4 seats, and can usually accommodate a 5th child in the middle too.

Avon River Activities reserve the right to refuse or allow the hire of any boat, at their absolute discretion.

All young people under the age of 16 must wear a lifejacket / buoyancy aid which are supplied free of charge. 

Lifejackets and buoyancy aids are available to anyone who would like to use them.

OPEN TIMES VARY

2026 starting Saturday May 16th and running until September 

Every week we post the days we will be operating on our facebook page 

As a genuine community partnership venture, we coordinate with the towns events, like the rowing regatta, river festival and the fishing festivals. This will effect the open hours. 

If it is rain or flood, we will not be operating. so open times will vary.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 11am-4pm

River Trips

Evesham Trip Boat 

Avon Navigation Trust own and operate the river trip boat 'Corsair' along aside our operations in Evesham.  We work with, and volunteer for, the Avon Navigation Trust, helping run their charity fund raising trip boat. 

TIMETABLE FOR BOAT TRIPS

** This is NOT part of ARA - and is 100% run by the Avon Navigation Trust - Please contact them direct for times, start dates, or to charter the boat. 

Potential start date for the charity fund raising trip boats for 2026 is 6th June 2026 (but please check with ANT on 01386 552517 or at www.avonnavigationtrust.org

usually May - September                Weekends - Saturdays and Sundays

1pm, 2pm& 3pm (c35 minute trips)

 

Prices

Just £6 per person (under 3's go free) 

No need to book, just check the 'Avon River Activities Evesham' facebook page if the weather is bad or the river in flood, then just turn up to the boat area in Evesham Abbey Park for the 1pm,2pm or the 3pm trip. 

The boat trips operate on a 'first come first served' basis. Tickets are on sale on the day - from 12 noon. you can buy tickets from Neptune, on the day, from 12, for the 1pm trip, 2pm trip or the 3pm trip. it is not possible to book in advance. 

 

100% of the income from these trips goes straight to the Rivers own Navigation Charity - ANT.  These are run by volunteers

Because this goes straight to the charity - 100% - it is CARD PAYMENTS ONLY for the Boat Trips. This means the volunteers don't have to handle any cash, and we can be sure that 100% goes straight into the charity account.

Working with the Avon Navigation Trust, ARA help operate the 50' wide beam barge Neptune as a mobile activity centre and home to the pioneering ANT youth volunteering programme - ANT Squad.

 

On board is a full on activity centre facilities, with changing room, shower, toilet, kitchen and a classroom. As well as coordinating the ANT SQUAD youth volunteering programme, ARA provide paddleboarding and activities at the river festivals using Neptune and she also works well as support boat for other activities in Evesham and along the river..... AWESOME !! Neptune is also a vital part of the Evesham Lock House project and 'bringing boating back to Evesham'.
